Enrichment
At the E-Act Parker Academy learning is developed through many and varied experiences. The academy offers a range of extra-curricular activities to develop students both as learners and future ready individuals. The provision of powerful learning experiences outside of the classroom aims to broaden horizons and allows students to engage in the local community, further afield and the wider world. This includes visits to New York, Miami, and Milan.
Opportunities are provided to ensure students discover the rich tapestry of spiritual, moral, social and cultural influences of modern society. The Duke of Edinburgh Award and Student Leadership programmes form part of the academy’s aim to develop well rounded, young people who are prepared for successful futures.
The academy offers a wide range of sporting activities including football, rugby, netball, trampolining and athletics. We strive to ensure students can access activities to enhance their well-being whether participating at national level or for recreation and wellbeing.
We also offer Wellbeing Wednesday, an opportunity for students to learn a new skill, participate in activities with friends, participate in sporting activities or take part in competitions. Our range of activities changes throughout the academic year, and includes, but is not limited to, Geography: Race Around the World, ADT: Foodies Club, Science Club and Crest Awards, Musical Theatre Club, Netball, Football, Sports Leaders and Mario Kart Club.
